Flinders Street Station

This artwork presents an expressive, stylized interpretation of Melbourne's iconic Flinders Street Station. Rendered in bold outlines and a vibrant, dreamlike palette of purples, pinks and warm ochres, the piece captures the building not as a rigid landmark, but as a living, breathing presence within the city. 

This work is influenced by pop art, folk art, and naive expressionism, drawing inspiration from artists such as Howard Arkley, Vincent Van Gogh, and contemporary urban illustrators. There is also a strong influence from street art and outsider art traditions, where architectural forms are reimagined through feeling rather than precision.
